If that doesn't get the pin shown or update the statistic, maybe the grub pin is obscured by custom markers? Lift customs, could also cycle through the option to hide the other markers from displaying (don't think any would get in the way though, also can't remember if the grubs get their own layer or not.) Check you have the map markers set to be visible, and check number of grubs collected statistic. Try verifying game files (how to: ) could also rest at a bench, then recheck map.
